RSA and NIG are now Intact Insurance

This change brings us together under one powerful, global brand. It means more investment, innovation and expertise for brokers and customers.

Intact Insurance has already invested over £1 billion in the UK and Ireland business, with plans to grow to £5 billion by 2030 (Commercial and Specialty Lines).

We are aware that there will be a multitude of different systems, documents and platforms that will carry the RSA brand, and to change these quickly may prove challenging. Whilst we have re-branded to Intact Insurance on 6 October, we expect this transition will take time to complete.

If you have any changes that will take longer to implement than 30 June 2026, please notify your partnership manager as soon as you feasibly can. We can then work with you to identify any additional support that might be required, and to review your individual timelines.

On 19 August 2025, we changed our registered name from Royal & Sun Alliance Limited to Intact Insurance UK Limited. We also took this opportunity to change the registered address of Intact Insurance UK Limited from Horsham to 22 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4BQ, effective 26 August 2025. We're currently working on updating our branded documents and we'll ensure our partners are supported in advance of any required changes.

All existing agreements and legal terms remain unaffected. Specific information relating to TOBAs and policy commission will follow as part of communications for our One Commercial programme.

With the integration of NIG and FarmWeb into RSA, the focus has been on simplifying our product set, streamlining legacy processes, and enhancing our digital capabilities to deliver a faster, more efficient service. As we moved towards our future state of One Commercial, we will ultimately now operate under a single brand, Intact Insurance. 

As changes are made by software houses; they will issue their standard communications as the date changes are made will vary by software house and product. 

When we brought RSA, NIG and FarmWeb together in 2024, we said we would move to one brand in the UK. As part of Intact, we operate in an increasingly interconnected world and having a brand that unites our businesses globally will help in our ambition to outperform the market, become the best Commercial insurer and to grow our Specialty Lines business in the UK by leveraging Intact’s global footprint.

There are no planned changes to your key relationships as part of the change of brand to Intact Insurance.  

For our new eTrade products, on Acturis, we’ve adopted a phased approach, which will be starting with Property Owners and Shops towards the end of the year. This will be followed Tradespeople, Offices and Business Combined.

For Regional products, we will start with the Regions Commercial Combined product, followed by Regions Property Owners and Motor Fleet in 2026. We will also then start migrating existing business onto the new products at renewal.

This gives us the opportunity to refine each product, get them right first time for you and your customers, ensuring they're designed to meet their needs and support our mutual growth.

We are already well advanced in our plans to unify our office locations as part of the integration. There are no plans for any changes to locations because of the rebrand, but of course our offices will start to look and feel a bit different now we have transitioned to Intact Insurance brand.

We have created an Intact Insurance broker toolkit – a clear, practical resource to help you talk to customers about Intact Insurance. This toolkit gives you what you need to explain the change, answer questions, and highlight the benefits for customers.

Now we have now moved to the Intact Insurance brand, we are working through how and when to implement these changes across our own and third-party platforms. We will be in touch with you if there are any impacts to documents that you need to issue.
