To help build resilient communities, we’re focusing on 3 main areas.
Since its inception, Intact has been focused on building society’s resilience. We've been on the frontlines of a changing climate and extreme weather events for over a decade.
Now, as climate change has emerged as one of the defining issues of the century, we're doubling down on our adaptation efforts. We're investing heavily in support of projects that protect people and our communities.
We work with expert partners to help create opportunities for children and families living in poverty.
Supporting inclusive education and skills development is important. Not just for our future talent pipeline, but for society as a whole. Actions that help to level the playing field are vital.
Our community programmes empower our employees to help build resilient communities.
In commitment to our value of generosity, we encourage each other to support the causes we care about.
We’ve developed several strategic partnerships and programmes to help build resilient communities.
In 2025, we partnered with the University of Hull to research the effectiveness of flood resilience measures. This includes investing in testing facilities and practical tools for businesses.

We’re working with The Wildlife Trusts to research the benefits of natural flood management (NFM) for the climate, nature and people. Our research shows that every £1 invested in NFM is expected to deliver £10 in benefits over 30 years.
We partner with UK Youth to run our Building Aspirations programme. It connects young people with local youth workers across Manchester, Liverpool, Halifax and Leeds. Together, they explore their career aspirations and develop employability skills.
Our work with the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust delivers a range of nature-based solutions in a flood-prone area of the UK. It showcases the value of natural flood management in reducing flood risk and boosting biodiversity.
Our Inspire programme has supported disadvantaged students across the UK since 2024. We work with schools, colleges and universities on workshops, events and work experience. Our aim is to improve career prospects, develop employability skills and inspire future talent.
