Clear guidance on policy coverage

To support confidence in planning, Intact Insurance is providing the following overview of how current circumstances relate to coverage. Please note that individual policy terms and conditions will always apply.

Coverage for existing and new bookings

• Existing bookings:

Policies and trips booked before 28 February 2026 continue to enjoy coverage in line with the policy’s standard terms and conditions.

• New bookings:

From today, the current regional events are considered a material fact (“known event”). As a result, cover for disruption, cancellation, or delay arising from these events will not apply to new bookings, unless specifically agreed by an Intact Insurance Underwriter.

Staying connected with official guidance

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is actively providing updated advice for British nationals in the affected areas. Anyone currently in the region is encouraged to register their presence, stay informed through official channels, avoid high risk areas, and follow all local directives.

British nationals transiting or present in the affected region—including Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Palestine, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates—can register directly with the FCDO to receive real time updates:

• tell the UK government you’re in Bahrain
• tell the UK government you’re in Israel
• tell the UK government you’re in Kuwait
• tell the UK government you’re in Palestine
• tell the UK government you’re in Qatar
• tell the UK government you’re in the United Arab Emirates

Travellers of other nationalities should register with their own government’s equivalent service.
