Standard cover
We offer cover for:
- Property damage, including damage from fire, flood, storm, theft or subsidence
- Loss of rent following an insured event
- Terrorism, including property damage and loss of rent resulting from a terrorist act (excludes Northern Ireland)
- Property owners’ liability for third-party injury or property damage
- Employers’ liability for employee injury or illness arising from their work

The cover is not aimed at individuals or consumers wanting to insure their own home.

We prefer to cover:
- Offices
- Retail and shopping centres
- Leisure facilities
- Hotels
- Warehousing for packaged goods
- Manufacturing facilities without clean rooms
- Hospitals and elderly care homes
- Low or medium-rise residential buildings, such as blocks of flats, with a declared value of up to £50 million
- Purpose-built premises
- Properties of fire-resistant or non-combustible construction
- Properties with appropriate levels of fire protection and security
- Owners and landlords with proactive risk management and maintenance practices
- Well-established and financially stable businesses
Non-preferred risks
We prefer not to cover:
- Properties undergoing redevelopment or refurbishment
- Waste and recycling risks
- Mining risks
- Growing or standing timber, shrubs or crops
- Overhead transmission and distribution lines
- Tyre and rubber risks – including manufacturing, storage or processing
- Chemicals risks
- Abattoirs, tanneries, or animal testing facilities
- Self-storage facilities
- Lithium-ion risks – including manufacturing, storage or processing
- Food processing risks with combustible construction
- Data centres
- Standalone vacant premises
- Risks with clean rooms
- Premises located outside the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man
- Non-UK based companies
